Plans

Three plans, subscription only

Every plan gives you the method call, the observations behind it, the retake guidance when a call cannot be made, and the full list of what we cannot know. Those four are never behind a paywall, because a partial reading acted on confidently is the one outcome this product has to avoid.

Where the paywall sits, and why

The free plan gives you the method and the evidence. That is a name and a reason. What changes behaviour is the wash-limit card: the temperature, whether it can go in a dryer, whether an iron can ever meet the face of it, and what to do differently now that it has started to crack.

That card is what the subscription buys. One garment washed the wrong way once is often enough to end it, and a print that has cracked does not come back.

What is never paid for, on any plan: the list of what we cannot know, and the retake guidance when the evidence does not support a call. Those two are the guard rails, and putting a guard rail behind a paywall would be indefensible.

  • An allowance is a service allowance. It is not money, it is not stored value, it cannot be redeemed for cash and it cannot be transferred.
  • Allowances reset at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance does not carry over.
  • There is no way to buy additional allowance separately. If you run out, either wait for the reset or move to a plan with a larger one.

Billing in plain terms

A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown above, until you cancel. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew annually. We send a reminder before each renewal as a separate email, not inside a marketing message.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time from the billing page, in the same number of steps it took to subscribe. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. You also have a statutory right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days, with the conditions set out on the cancellation page.

Before you subscribe

The terms of service, the privacy notice and the description of how a read is produced are all worth two minutes before you pay for anything.
